Right on!  Pennzie had designations such as K-4, G-5, and M-1a.
Take the E6s class -- the first built was numbered 1737 and the
last (the one that hauled the Lindbergh Special) was numbered 460.
Of eighty engines in this class, engine numbers ranged from 13 to
6513. Maybe all-knowing PRR expected its employees to keep
the specifications for every locomotive locked up in their memory
bank. Now let me see, what was the tonnage rating for the 5698 on
the Panhandle ?
