Jim,

The 17" N&W was used up until about 1952; after that time, the 24" N&W was
introduced.  Obviously, there were a lot of cars with the 17" lettering that
ran for quite sometime until they were repainted and stenciled with the then
current scheme.

So if you model before 1952, you need only the 17" lettering; after that you
can enjoy both!
