It also worries me that with modern technology, a lot of folks are
"colorizing" old photos, OR, creating "what if" photos, by using photo shop
to change elements of the photo around, for example, changing numbers on
locomotives, or adding track side structures or tree to certain spots, to
make it "perfect"

This practice seems to run rampart on some narrow gauge DRGW message boards,
it is only a matter of time before some well meaning folks make the "perfect
picture" here, post it online to show some friends, and whammo...it is out
in circulation.

It is only a matter of time before one of these modified photos show up in a
book "as proof" as the way it was.
