 From Damascus to VA-TN State line a distance of 1.8 miles was owned 
by the N&W, named the Damascus Branch and was leased to the Beaver 
Dam Railroad.  Beyond State Line to Crandull, TN a distance of 7.9 
miles was owned by the Beaver Dam RR. All documents show the N&W 
connecting with the Beaver Dam RR at Damascus.

Nothing in my files indicate the N&W ever purchased the Beaver Dam RR.
