Camp Cars

I'll second "jerry's" comment about adjusting to sleeping alongside moving
trains. During my college days, I worked a six month chemical plant job at
Marcus Hook PA; and lived in a room in Chester PA just 75 feet from the PRR's
four track NYC to Washington main line. And it really was the PRR then -
constant traffic with freight, commuter runs, and the 'name trains 24/7. I
rarely woke during at night. Later; still during my 20's, I 'lived' in a chemical
plant for three weeks during a work stoppage. Worked 6, slept 6; for 3
weeks.
People are adaptable.

As for the negatives mentioned in connection with camp cars; weather, odors.
monotony - I would lose my sense of adventure quickly under those
conditions. Interesting thread; I hope the list keeps us up to date.
