PERSONALLY CONDUCTED EXCURSION

MOUNTAINS TO THE SEASHORE
June 16, 1903

The Norfolk and Western Railway will run a personally conducted excursion to the Seashore, leaving Blair, Va., at 7 a.m., June 16, 1903, and returning, leave Norfolk at 9 p. m. June 19, 1903.
Schedule of rates as follows:
Leave East Radford 11:30 a. m., Rate $4.25.
No stops east of Bedford City.
Tickets will be sold by agents of the Norfolk and Western railway. For further information, write to W. B. Bevill, general passenger agent, Roanoke; J?? [blurred]. A Pack, excursion agent, Roanoke.

[Blair, VA was the end of the North Carolina Branch's Chestnut Creek Branch until the latter part of 1903 or the first part of 1904 when the line was extended 2.72 miles into Galax. VA. Blair seems to be an unlikely origin for an excursion. Also, the above ad leaves several question in my mind such as whether the $4.25 fare from East Radford applied at other points, such as Blair, what time a person would get back to his starting point, and why this was in the Bluefield paper without any info on connecting trains, fare, etc.]
