NEW DEPOT FOR COOPERS
------
A force of hands is at work doubletracking the high bridge on the new grade at Cooper. It is said that the Norfolk and Western will soon begin the erection of a new and commodious depot building at the west end of the tunnel at that point, and the depot down on the old grade will be used exclusively for the Simmons and Crane Creek lines.

WILL STRAIGHTEN OLD LINE
------
The grade of the old line from Coopers to Ruth is to be straightened out in order to avoid the dangerous curve near the ovens of the Mill Creek Coal and Coke Company. The new road bed will be made at the foot of the new grade and will be made so as to come into the old road bed again at Coopers tank. The part of the old line to be cut out will be left as a siding for the Mill Creek Company.
