Old Engineer

I have a neighbor whose grandfather was an engineer on the N&W - he  used to 
live in the Bluefield area now resides in Princeton, WV. My  friend has a 
photo of his grandfather standing beside a "J" somewhere along  the Pokey.
 
Do any of you know, JAMES RAYMOND MARCO DEFRIECE, got any good stories  about 
him to share with his family - they are writing a family history &  would 
appreciate any stories (or facts) you all could add.
