IN CITY AND COALFIELD
------
Freight Car Jumps Track
There was a slight derailment on the Norfolk and Western on the Hatfield curve, a short distance west of Wharnecliff yesterday. One car of No. 85, westbound freight, jumped the track, but no damage to speak of was done. The delay to traffic amounted to but a short time.

Solid Cabbage Train
The Norfolk and Western railway, it is said, will put on a special cabbage train of refrigerator cars to run between Rural Retreat, Va., and the cities of the south. The Swift Packing Company is said to have made a contract with the cabbage growers of Wythe county to handle the product of the entire field, shipping cabbage daily in iced cars in order to put the product into the markets of the country in first-class condition. The first train of iced cars was expected to be run yesterday.
