TO ENLARGE DEPOT
------
Portsmouth People Hear Good News From Norfolk and Western

From an unquestioned source it is learned that the Norfolk and Western Railway Company is planning to make extensive additions and improvements to the passenger station at Portsmouth early in the coming year, says the Times of that city.
The plan is to enlarge the depot and add one and possible two more stories to the depot. Then the intention is to move the offices of Supt. J. T. Carey, and the dispatchers' offices will be moved from the terminals to the new depot, occupying the upper stories. The present quarters at the terminals will be used by the yard and shop officials.
This is a move that will meet with hearty approval in all quarters and the company is to be congratulated on deciding to make the improvements.
