>From searching on Google, it appears that there was a "Brinton Mine"

that mined arsenic from 1912-1917, located on Lick Ridge, somewhere
(couldn't figue the exact location) up Goose Creek off of the South
Fork of the Roanoke River.

Technically, I believe the last mile or so of the Radford branch up
to Claytor Lake dam extended into Floyd County.
