Dave

You would have to be a little more specific when you say Semaphore Signal as the N&W
had semaphore signals in place since it was built into Cooper starting with Train Order Signals
at Towers , Stations and control points. in 1898 N&W started installing automatic semaphores
of the US&S style Bs. and later changed the ones in electrified territory to AC style Ss. The N&W
main line was fully signaled with automatic semaphores before any position lights where ever around.
Position lights where first bought to signal lines and branches that had no signal systems starting
around 1924 and later to replace the main line semaphores. So it would be kind of hard to date
a picture just by seeing a semaphore blade and not knowing the type. It could be any anywhere
from 1880s to 1930s. You might try sharing your photos with this list. I am sure it would lead to
interesting discussion .

Historians,

When (roughly) were semaphore signals installed and also removed in the Pocahontas District?

When was the Cooper station/tower removed? (Pocahontas District)

I'm working on a Cooper timeline and these two events will help me organize some photos.
Thank You,
