Inasmuch as the Bluefield newspaper did not specify a state, I would assume that Crystal was in its home state, West Virginia. The station index in a 1910 Official Guide listed Crystal, WV, as being on the Norfolk and Western, but Crystal was not listed in any of the N&W timetables in that Guide. A Google search turned up that Crystal, WV, was a coal mining camp located in western Mercer County midway between Montcalm and McComas and about ten miles from Bluefield (This would have been on the N&W's Bluestone Branch). Doesn't sound like a likely place for a distillery (legal, that is). I could find no additional information on the distillery. There might be some record in the courthouse in Princeton if someone could check there.

Can not find Crystal on Google . . . . just Crystal City near the Pentagon, Crystal Springs, etc. Where was it? In 1910 would that have been a clear spirit or a barreled whistkey?
