Sounds interesting, but need a few more specifics -
- Is this an organized event similar to the very successful Bristol
mini-con some months ago, or a more informal "y'all come" event tied to the
Centennial celebration?
- If you have a schedule, what's the starting time?

Thanks,

Hello, all:
Please mark your calendars for a Norfolk & Western/Norfolk Southern
mini-meet at the former N&W Railway station, Boyce, Virginia, milepost H46-1, on
Saturday, October 2. You may come earlier in the day for some railfanning
on the Hagerstown District or watching CSXT traffic at Shenandoah Junction
about 30 minutes to the north.
This date coincides with the Town of Boyce Centennial celebration. There
will be a parade at 1:30 PM and cake cutting at 5 PM. Trains will be held
outside of town during the parade, so there should be plenty of late
afternoon and evening activity.
A bring-something-to-share cook out will begin at 6:30 PM. Meanwhile, the
NS chatter and sharing are encouraged; horseplay and Rule G infractions
aren't.
There is an outdoor electrical outlet for plugging in laptops or radios in
the parking lot. Wireless Internet access is available, but you'll need
to get the encryption key via prior email.
For those wanting to stay until dusk and into the evening, there will be a
digital slide show of railway photos beginning around 8 PM. If you have
some good N&W or NS material to share, please volunteer to show your photos.
The evening will likely conclude around 11 PM but can continue as long as
 there are willing presenters.
Hope to see you next month,
