THOUGHT SLEEPER WAS DEAD AND FLAGGED FLYER
------
Train No. 4 Stopped Near Chillicothe By Peculiar Occurrence
Discovering a negro [sic] asleep on the N. & W. tracks above Chillicothe and train No. 4 due within a few minutes, some tall hustling was done to get a lantern to flag the flyer. The two men who found the negro making a bed of the tracks thought he was dead, and fearing to remove the body, flagged the train. When it came to a dead stop the pilot of the engine was within a foot of the man's head.
