IN CITY AND COALFIELD
------
Knee and Hip Injured
In an accident on the railway yards of the city yesterday morning, Engineer H. J. Finley suffered slight injuries to his knee and hip. He was able to go to his home after the accident and his hurts are not serious. The cab of Engineer Finley's engine was torn off when sideswiped by some drifting cars on an adjoining track and his injuries were caused by the fall, with the cab, to the ground.
[People probably commented, "They just don't make cabs now days the way they used to."]
-------
Colored Man Killed by Train
Calvin Harris, colored, fell from a freight train between Northfolk and Keystone yesterday morning and was instantly killed, the entire train passing over his body. Harris was employed as a waiter at Hotel Northfork and was very popular among his race. His home was in Charlotte, N. C.
[This is the third trespasser fatality in three days reported to have occurred in the vicinity of Northfork.]
