N&W Loco in Movie "Giant"

It was the 100. Sorry you apparantly missed the recent thread about it on this
list. Was lettered C&O on one side only, since movie did not need to shoot other
side. Irony was that the tender had been bought from the C&O a couple of years
earlier.(nee PM Berkshire tender)

K-1 was used in the motion picture "Giant" in 1956.  The movie starred Rock
Hudson, Elizabeth Taylor, and James Dean.  The locomotive is lettered Chesapeake
and Ohio and is shown in the opening scenes.  I just noticed it tonight and it
took me by surprise. :o)"
