Fell From a Train
Henry Oliver, colored of South Boston, Va., was picked up at Falls Mills yesterday morning suffering from a broken leg and three fractured ribs. He was taken to Miners' hospital at Welch, where he was treated. It is believed that Oliver fell from a train on which he was stealing a ride.
[It would have been only about seven miles to a hospital at Bluefield, WV, but he was taken about 29 miles to Welch. Maybe because the next train was going west?]
