LOSES BOTH LEGS

Colored Man Fell From Train on Which He Was Stealing a Ride

Andrew Ross, colored, of Petersburg, was brought to this city this morning from Ada, shortly after 1:30, and carried to an hospital. Both his legs were severed above the knee as a result of falling from a freight train on which he was stealing a ride. In spite of the painful injuries the man was conscious when he arrived in this city.

UNKNOWN MAN KILLED

Failed to Catch One Train and Stepped in Front of Another

An unknown man, believed to be a Hungarian, was killed yesterday at Powhatan when he failed to catch a east bound freight and stepped directly in front of a west bound freight. Nothing was found in his clothes which would led to his identity. The man was evidentially a miner.
