As a late comer wouldn't the CC&O have had responsibility for the "tower" controling movement over the "crossing?"  If so, the tower would not show up in N&W accounts.

Gordon -  That's what I'm thinking.  Have an idea this fell in the joint facility accounting nightmare.
               N&W probably underwrote a portion of the CRR operator's salary and Clinchfield paid N&W
               for maintenance of the main track pro rated on CRR car and engine count vs. N&W
               car and engine count. Picture a man with a visor sitting on a stool punching in numbers
               on a comptometer.                                         Harry
