IN CITY AND COALFIELD
------
Five Trespassers Fined
Yesterday afternoon seven men were brought before Squire Godbey charged with trespassing upon the Norfolk and Western right-of-way between this city and Oakvale. Five of the men were fined five dollars each and the other two, who were caught on the local yards, were turned over to the city. The men were arrested by Officers Calloway and Taylor, who went to Oakvale with the intention of catching some people suspected of stealing coal east of Oakvale. They were not able to catch the coal stealers, owing to the fact that they had their hands full before they had reached that far.

Want Coal at Norfolk
The vessels in the port of Norfolk want 139,000 tons of coal. The Norfolk and Western has only about 60,000 tons of coal there. There is still a scarcity of cars on the Norfolk and Western, but it is expected there will be plenty of cars by the 1st of April.
