In the photos we took of the Virginian Railway Heritage SD70 ACe #1069 with the Virginian Brethren, there is a decal above the brake stick holder on the fireman's side above rear truck. It says "Brake Stick Holder"

Jimmy,

I am not  sure about the more recent additions to our fleet, but I do know that in Linwood the remote control engines have brake stick holders (painted bright yellow) mounted above the trucks.  I don't know, but I assume the holders are also still in the cab, but since these are intended for RCOs who are not supposed to be in the cab at all, the holders are mounted close to where they might be needed.

I think what you are describing, since a photo hasn't been supplied yet, is not the brake stick holder at all. Instead, it is a holder for the EOT devices. The brake stick holders are mounted inside the cab of the units on the conductor's side and most all units are equiped as such at this time. Jimmy Lisle-- Kenneth RickmanSalisbury, NCFundamentalism: from "Fund" : Give me money, and "Amentalism": No brain.
