Old photos of train wreck_any info?

It will be posted on the NWHS website in the first week of January as we
implement a new electronic version of "Talk Among Friends." We will also
post a PDF to this mailing list. A limited 4-page print version of "Talk
Among Friends" will be included with "The Commissary" that is sent with the
NWHS "Arrow" magazine.

Those two photos are from a train wreck at Hemphill, WV in 1936. 

 

Interestingly, we are doing a story about a third photograph from that same
wreck in the new electronic "Talk Among Friends" that will be posted in
January 2013.  Story will pinpoint the location and tell what caused the
wreck.

I found these two photos in my Dad's album, showing a terrible wreck. There
is no info on the photos so do any of you know anything about it?
