another coal routing question

Which route did US Steel coal go toward Gary after it was handed off  to 
PRR in Columbus?
Salt Water:
There appears to have been a slight mileage advantage to route the  coal
via Logansport, but I suspect it went to Ridgeville, IN up to  Ft. Wayne and
moved to destination on the PRR's New York-Chicago main line.   That way
it avoided all the congestion of the Chicago  suburbs.

 
Incidentally, some of the US Steel coal was billed from Gary, WV to  Gary, 
IN.
 
After the PRR/NYC merger, the route used by PC to return the mty  hoppers
proved to be costly to N&W . . . . .but  legal.      Harry Bundy
