Jim: The electric obviously was rebuilt, as N&W had all of them at the end. However, 2505 is meaningless, since the individual units (numbered 1-24) were swapped all the time when half of a pair might be shopped, and 2505 at that time could have been made up of any two of them.

Does anyone have information on a wreck in March of 1937 "West of Bluefield" involving and electric locomotive "sideswiping" a freight train, mid-train? What was the number of the electric loco? Was is re-built?
Thanks,
Jim Cochran
