Thaxton Wreck in 1889 Remembered

Dan Casey, Roanoke Times columnist, reports on the efforts to get a
historical marker placed near the site of the 1889 wreck of N&W
passenger train No. 2, which killed 18 and was one of the worst train
wrecks in Virginia. The wreck was near Thaxton, east of Roanoke.
