High Bridge - Bridge ID Number?

Maybe the didn't spell it out, or didn't know to do so. This is a Mobile paint.

Can't speak to the "P-84" symbol, but 
I didn't know Mobil had gone into the 
paint business. Maybe they have, but 
thought Mobil was in the petroleum 
industry. 
In the 60s and 70s, environmentalists 
took a pretty strong position against 
blasting lead-based paints off bridges. 
Maintenance of Way forces would spread 
tarps below the bridges to capture the 
paint particles. Then there was the 
problem of disposing of the spent paint. 
N&W experimented with greasing bridges. 
Results left a lot to be desired. In 
hot weather, the steel would heat and 
the grease would drip off. In one 
instance, the paint dripped off the 
Whiskey Run viaduct at Rook Yard 
(Pittsburgh), landed on the free way to 
the airport and caused motorists to 
skid. 
Maybe Mobil has come up with a petroleum 
product that doesn't drip. Harry Bundy
