Christiansburg N&W CPLs Going, Going, . . .

I'd really like to be able to own a signal some day, but for now I just wanna catch the remaining CPLs in service.  I hope in the spring or summer I'll be able to travel to the Pokey and catch any that are standing then, especially if the ones at Elkhorn Tunnel are still standing then.  Also, are there any at all CPLs standing in Kentucky?
-Thanks, Evan Miller

Evan, All I know is that it served somewhere in West Virginia. It was retired sometime around 1991. Norfolk Southern donated two of them it in exchange for some graphics work when I was in the printing industry years ago. The second one is still with my partner in crime, LOL, but has not been restored. The number plate is not original to this signal. It was my street address before the county changed it for the enhanced 911 project. In 1997 when the signals were upgraded on the Shenandoah Division, Ken Miller and myself bought 23 tons of retired signal equipment. This lot included nine more CPL signals which we have since sold off. I know the northbound signal from Nace is now at the Boyce, Virginia station but I'm not sure if it has been restored yet. Thanks, Richard D.    You've got one good looking signal!  Where did it serve exactly on the N&W and when was it retired?
