Elliston, Walnut Cove, Bluefield, 1927

The 1928 volume of Railway Signaling magazine (vol. 21, No. 1, page18) shows the following in a tabulation of "Interlockings Completed During 1927": 

Elliston, new, Union Switch & Signal, electro-pneumatic, 23 levers. Type: "siding." (This probably means the installation interlocked both ends of both passing sidings, plus middle crossovers.) 

Walnut Cove, new, Union Switch & Signal, 7 mechanical levers, 3 electric levers. Type: "crossing." 

Bluefield, "rebuilt," Union Switch & Signal, 4 levers, electric. Type: "junction."
