​Hit the Virginia Tech Library at lunch and dug out the microfilm. Scanned
the articles about these two men at the time of their deaths and will get
things cleaned up to make all the details available. But the short answer
for Charles:

N. D. MAHER DIES AT HIS HOME HERE; BURIAL TOMORROW

Funeral services for Nicholas Dominic Maher, 75, retired former president
of the Norfolk and Western Railway, who died at 10:30 o'clock yesterday
morning at his home, 1134 Commerce street, N. W., following an illness of a
few days, will be conducted at St. Andrews church at 10:30 o'clock Thursday
morning. Interment will be in St. Andrews cemetery, and will be privately
conducted. The family has requested that no flowers be sent.

A. C. Needles, Norfolk & Western President, Claimed by By Death

Arthur Chase Needles, president of the Norfolk and Western railway, died at
noon yesterday at his home, 634 Wellington avenue, South Roanoke, following
an illness of several days. Mr. Needles was 69 years of age.

Funeral services will be conducted at St. John's Episcopal church, here, at
4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. Alfred R. Berkeley, rector. Burial
services will take place in the chapel at Greenmount cemetery, Baltimore,
at 11 a.m. Wednesday. It is requested that flowers be omitted.
