I did some exploring in that area in 2014.  I still have the driving
directions for that trip.  If you send me your e-mail address, I can create
an excerpt of my info covering just the Buchanan Branch.  It is too detailed

While I am not going to make the convention this month I am interested in
rail fanning this branch at a later day.  Can I get some info on the
locations that will be best photo ops and some nice driving directions
around the area.  I do model coal operations and need some good mine photos.
This trip might happen on my way to St. Louis in August.
