Do you know about what year the SB-9s started in the Barney Yard?
Sometime after the NKP/WAB merger, the oddballs were sent to
Norfolk for terminal assignments.  This included FM H16-44s
(wouldn't M/U with Alcos, GEs, or EMDs). Alco RSD-12s, and
some of the EMD SD-9s  (no dynamic brake).  There's a photo dated
05/01/1982  of Eng 2352 in Withers/Bowers First Generation Diesels.
It also notes that the SD-9s were transferred back to Bellevue prior to
retirement.  Exhaust from three RSD-12s shoving coal to the Barney Yard
would blot out the sun. Excluding the FMs, the other odd balls started 
showing up at Norfolk about 1968.                      Harry Bundy
