VGN Boxcars

Ken Tanner posed a simple question about Virginian boxcars on this list and
on the Virginian IO group.  It has led to a preliminary answer, some
discussion, and now a few of us are working on a more complete answer that
we'll try to consolidate the data from and post the results early in the
week.  Seems like some of us have a bit more time to research than usual.
