I don't see that anyone responded to your request for maps or other
publications about the Abingdon Branch.

 

The Abingdon Branch was part of the N&W Radford Division, and there may be
track charts in the Society's Archives for that division that include the
Abingdon Branch.

 

Two good articles about the Abingdon Branch are: "An Abingdon Branch
Accolade" in the June, 1984 issue of Trains magazine, and "Reflections on
the Abingdon Branch" in the September, 1975 issue of Railroad Model
Craftsman. Both articles contain small maps of the branch.

 

The book "The Last Steam Railroad in America" by O. Winston Link and Thomas
H. Garver is entirely about the Abingdon Branch with beautiful photos by
Winston Link.

 

Finally, there is the book "The Virginia Creeper in Ashe County" by the Ashe
County Historical Society (Arcadia Publishing).
