Accurail custom decorated cars

 All,
I really don't pay much attention to freight cars, except that I am interested only in what was used during the steam era. So the exact symbol and classification doesn't mean a whole lot to me.  My interest ends ends with the NKP/Wabash merger and when the "hamburger herald" came out in 1964; passenger service with the advent of Amtrak. If the Accurail twin hopper fits that criteria,  I would buy 30 of them and six of the double-door boxcars.

Would the hopper cars use the Accurail USRA twin hopper? As shown in the photo attached to the original message, the H35 class had characteristic "fishbelly" sides, whereas the Accurail USRA car has straight sides.

All,

It has come down to a choice between two cars for our first custom run project with Accurail: the H-35 twinbay hopper, or the B-1b, double door box car. (see attached photos)

What we need now is for you to tell uswhich of these cars to go ahead with. The way to do this is to senda note telling us how many of each of these car kits you wouldpurchase from the society under the assumptions that there will betwo printed road numbers for either car with decals to allowcustomization of unnumbered kits for up to a dozen units with unique road numbers. Thecost of the cars should sell in the low to mid $20 range.

So here is an example of the responsewe would like you to send in:

I would buy seven of the hopper kits,or I would purchase two of the box cars depending on which isproduced.

OR

I would buy 4 of the hoppers, but ifyou do the B-1bs, I'd buy a dozen 'cause I really like box cars.

Please send your reply to the list, orif you'd rather, send them directly to me at:
