Former NW car 800 Alta Vista

Would seem that these CN guys are pretty sloppy with their ballast.  Got it all over the ties! Never saw that down here.

While this car has gone through a few ownership changes, the former N&W car 800 “Alta Vista” is still recognizable in this recent photo on CN. Nice to see it still functioning in its former role and maintained in good order.

I believe this was originally a UP car that NW bought and modified to a theater seating inspection car. The NW styled boarding steps are one giveaway on this car. Some side windows on the theater seating have been combined and other minor changes done to the car while owned by Illinois Central and then merged into CN.
