 Jim, All,
Pretty much isolated as I remember.  Just the roadbed up the hollow about nine miles to Coalwood.  Don't know if there is a passable trail even in place. You can see and cross the bridge over to the main line junction about three miles east of Roderfield.
In later years, this coal was loaded out on the Dry Fork side, on the 2.53-mile Caretta Branch that came off about Susanna.  
One interesting thing to model in the area is the iron ladder that came up off U.S. 52 at the west end of an overhead main line bridge to the east portal of Gordon Tunnel.
