Coach 1705 was repainted tuscan. As far as I know, that was the only coach
so painted. The others were painted blue when the entire passenger paint
plan was changed. That blue was darker than the NKP. On at least one
occasion, one of them was used as an overflow on Train 3 1965 Thanksgiving
Sunday. Also, if memory serves, and that's questionable, sleeper City of
Kokomo was also repainted tuscan. I only saw it in Roanoke once. They were
disposed soon after the demise of NKP passenger trains.
