PCM Y6b's

The cavalier attitude of most toy train manufacturers is such that when a
company says they are producing high quality models should we believe them
and side with whatever they say in the advertising??  I'm NOT a sheep.

I took advantage of the folks who sold their excellent Powerhouse Y3's to
get Lifelike models.  I bought a total of 12 of them.  I refuse to buy
another Y6 that is merely a tech upgrade of the 50 year old Rivorossi
design.  The engineering of both the lifelike Y3, BLI "A" and now the PCM
Y6b as it relates to articulation is just copying from a 50 year old design.

Making a Y6/Y6a would have made better sense.  They could also do a Y5 with
very few changes.  It suggests that no 'real' research of the railroad took
place, and the extent was maybe a look at a video.  Beancounters ONLY DO
BEANCOUNTING.  

Most average modelers can add details and weather a model so why spend big
bucks on a poor model? Get a recent Y6b from Rivorossi and superdetail it.

If a few manufactures get stuck with poorly reviewed models perhaps they
will fire those who designed such a poor model in the first place?

Do we know if anyone from PCM contacted the Society?
Did they listen? (obviously NOT)

I suggest writing in to the various RR mags to complain.
Complain to the manufacturer to get your money back.
