PCM Y6b Sound

The whistle on mine is also half a bubble off plumb -- sounds vaguely like a recording of a Y6 hooter, but not nearly  as nice as the BLI  A. The exhaust sounds better when you toggle F5 and put it in the alleged "compound" mode, but above 30 smph, it sounds too fast for the driver revs and reminds me of a sewing machine, not an articulated's blast. With 2 big speakers in the tender, you'd think the capacity is there for great sounds.
Still trying to figger out how to get the whistle to sound as long's the button's held down.

  I just got one and I don't know if I got a bad one but the chuff sounds like a shotgun and the whistle sounds like a dying cow.  Is this typical?
