PCM Y6? and N&W Red

Hi Lois,

I did the same thing, bought an Athearn undecorated streamlined RPO,
baggage, and coach with the idea of kit-bashing the mail car and
dormitory/baggage combine for my Tennessean. Then IHC came out with the
trio of RPO, Baggage, and Dormitory/Baggage combine which are pretty good
representations so I took the easy way out! What I¹d like to do now is
kit-bash that flat-ended lounge-observation. The IHC fluted side
observation would be a good candidate for that project because its very
cheap. You would have to plug up the compartment style windows and get the
window arrangement correct, and then figure out how to get that flat rear
end in place with nicely rounded corners. Does this stir anyone¹s
imagination?

Bob Folsom, modeling N&W around Roanoke 1945 1950.
