In addition to the Radio Shack book, here are a couple sites that may be
helpful:
 
This first one appears to be a list of many railroads and channels, although
out of date.

This one has tells the AAR channel to frequency and has tips, rules, and
laws links that apply to scanning.  It's quite helpful.
