Pocahontas consist question

[NW Modeling List]

During the 1950's, N&W Train 3 upon arrival in Petersburg had cars switched to ACL train 32, the Short Train to Richmond, likewise ACL train 27 from Richmond, had cars switch to N&W Train 4.

I believe they were express cars and a through coach between Norfolk and Washington and visa-versa. Can anyone provide info in reference to this?

Perhaps Harry knows the answer?
