Whether or not the color chosen by Rapido is correct, it's evident from
Jason's response that they tried to select the best. Color choices are
highly subjective.

The response from a society member was discourteous and not at all
constructive. Jason didn't claim to be an "expert"; he merely offered to
share what he'd learned.

Perhaps the society could be more involved with model manufacturers. But,
really, what good does it do to demand that others, every one of them a
hobbyist volunteer, drop what they're doing to serve the urgent needs of one
member? If there's a color issue, then perhaps our critical colleague could
lend his time, and expertise to the society and help to resolve it.

Over the years, model railroading seems to have acquired a cadre of very
critical, unpleasant adherents who forget that this is, after all, a hobby.
Believe it or not, there are more important matters in this world in need of
resolution than the absolute precise-to-the-exact-Kelvin-degree shade of N&W
passenger red.
