DCC for N scale

I'm thinking of taking the plunge into DCC for my under construction N scale model railroad. Anyone have any experience with the different options they would be willing to share? I have a rather large collection of Atlas, LifeLike and Kato locomotives to be converted, so would prefer the drop-in type decoders that replace the circuit boards.

Any input would be appreciated.
