Jim:
Thanks for the reply. I not bent out of shape. I seems that our board keeps asking for volunteers and then ignores them when someone does. I already am working on a correct N&W RS3 with the doors on the short hood, and other projects. I had a maunufacture to do the Powhattan Arrow in plastic but recieved no response from Bill on the color, so the project was dropped.. Besides I have the OMI cars so it doesn't matter to me since they were available. Several projects have been proposed like the N&W cabooses, but this project was not supported and dropped.

Stephen: Our modeling committee was not consulted about the Weaver cars. I offered to give them information and was told they already have all the information they need. So this is Weaver - not us.The go to person is Bill McClure. And relax! We don't have any particular authority. We are just folks who are willing to do whatever we can to enhance the supply of N&W models (and articles for the Arrow on building and kit-bashing.) I think Bill has already put a post on the list about how he appointed us in an arbitrary fashion. But again, we have no particular power; so don't get bent out of shape because you weren't asked. Your time may come. Jim Nichols

Thanks Jim Lisle for the response. I know I do not want to waste my good hard dollars on a bogus model, and I am sure no one else would either.
It seems that our modeling committee is over extended, I wonder who is the go to/chairman of the group?
I know of a person who is well qualified and volunenteered, but was completely ignored.. Why didn't our society ask for help from our members instead of hand picking who they wanted. What's up with that?

"Are the Weaver cars going to be correct per drawings?"
"As everyone on this list knows, manufacturers tend to do what makes sense from a commercial standpoint, not necessarily what is entirely prototypical or accurate for a particular road. We'll just have to see how this project develops."
Steve,
I doubt it. If you have seen the previous run of the Weaver N&W passenger cars, you will understand Bill's reply. The previous run was a generic set of cars painted in several road names just as other manufacturers do. Go to the Weaver web site for a possible photo and a list of features. There are supposed to be several improvements to the cars, including interiors.
A discussion of these cars has been ongoing on the OGR 3 Rail Forum. You may have to go several pages to find it though.
