N&W MOW Green

A few years back (2003/2004) I shot a couple of company tank cars in solid green in Buena Vista, VA, 
they had faded the same way the 2 Bay Covered Sand Hoppers have, to a light NYC/PC Jade Green. 
Unfortunately, they are in slide boxes packed away, otherwise I'd attach them. I'll see if I can 
dig them up over the weekend and scan them. 
 
I am not arguing that they did not exist in black, as you've got one in your book in black from 1995.

Without going into the Long inventory, I believe the Athearn MOW tank car (at least the kit) is black on the bottom half which will be incorrect.

I have the Athearn MOW car (looks like a RPO) and flat (looks like a N&W FD flat car) They are already in green with N&W markings. Do I need to repaint these cars? BTW, I model around 1956.
