The 1776 was a former Wabash cab.? After the merger, the N&W classed it as a Class C18 #562786.? It was sold to Midwest Steel & Alloy in April 1977 as 1776.? The centennial paint scheme was applied at Decatur in 1975.

Does anyone know the fate of this particular cab?? The one in Pulaski is the same style, at least, I think it is.? That's what I've always referred to as the "Tyco" caboose.

Does anyone know of photos of the bicentennial caboose mentioned briefly in the article on modeling 1776 in the latest Arrow? I don't own the "Color Guide", and I wasn't successful in finding anything on the VT site.
