Dave:  Send a message to the archives at nwhs.org and ask for the rolled
drawing of the Bluefield Yard.  The Commissary sold this many years ago and
we don't advertise it any more due to the trail off in sales.  But, the
Archives volunteers will make you one for a moderate price.  It is a rolled
drawing about 3 feet by 12 feet.  I don't recall if it pre or post "big
coaling tower" but it is probably post.

Hi Roger

I am an Old(emphasis on aged) Bluefield boy who happens to be planning and
building my N&W N-Scale layout. I'm in Colorado and can't get back to
Bluefield to attend the "Railfest." I sure would like to make some contacts
with other N&W Modelers who are in Bluefield or in the area. I need some
real guidance for what I am planning and doing. Especially since I am trying
to model the Bluefield yard(s) and the businesses along Princeton Avenue of
the 1945-1960's era. I understand that someone in the area has actually
built their model of the Bluefield yard(s) and I would be especially like to
find out who this person is and communicate with him if anyone knows who it
might be. All help and advice will be welcomed. Thank you for the fine
e-mail news all of you provide.

The Pocahontas NRHS is having their 20th Annual Railfest/Model Train Show
in Bluefield WV this weekend (Nov 8 & 9). See attached flyer for more
details.
 
NWHS will have a table at the Railfest on Saturday *ONLY*. Plan on having
caps/calendars/magnets available. If you plan on attending the show, and
having something specify you would like from the commissary, email
link at nwhs.org, and we will see *if* we can arrange to have it there for you
(particular book/dvd/etc.).
