You should search the archives at www.nwhs.org and look for track charts/maps of various yards on the system; some are very detailed as to engine terminal and facilities, etc.

Been searching the books and newsletters for a typical N&W engine servicing layout.  In Norfolk & Western Handbook found one for Williamson on p 120 but would appreciate any pointers of another for comparison and a bit more detail.
